La Sagrada Familia

It wasn't La Sagrada Familia
although the stone front
looked that way,
with niches that
could have housed
sainted statues,
and apertures
for the faithful to enter
sacred space.

People did come here
seeking:
time together,
or time apart;
maybe solace
or peace;
or seeking
nothing at all.

Still,
it was a sacred-outside
crafted by an unseen hand.
A place
that was good for
the soul.
