Last summer I came across The Holstee Manifesto, written in 2009, to inspire people with ideas about life. One of the things it says is ‘Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them… Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them’. And it’s funny how easy it can be: about a month ago I wanted to sit down to have a cup of tea and cake before looking at some art, but the cafe was rather full, so I went and sat at a table already taken, asking the lady if she didn’t mind me sitting there. She didn’t 🙂 And we started chatting. As it turned out she was an artist, and it was so lovely hearing about her ideas and the places she has been. And she asked about my interest – thinking about things and writing. And we swapped details. And she invited me to her up-coming exhibition. And I’ve just been – and it was such a cool setting – lovely Morgan cars!. So I want to celebrate Suchi, the artist, and her vision and skill and passion for life.
So if you bump into an artist, celebrate them, and share your ideas with them too! It’s great!
