I read the following words by Lao Tzu in Tao Te Ching – and for me it is epitomised by the heron – and I saw this beautiful one on my run this evening:
Do you have the patience to wait
till your mud settles and the water is clear?
Can you remain unmoving
till the right action arises by itself?
Doing the right thing, not just anything; having patience with myself and with others – these things will lead to peace.
