Even if all you have for supper is a cheese and tomato pizza, you can sass it up into something rather special, with a few scraps from your fridge and a bit of imagination! As I found out!
All that was left in the fridge was a bit of this and that – so I thought I would get a bit creative and layer some ingredients onto the simple pizza. On went the single slice of remaining ham, torn into chunks ; cream cheese dotted on top; some mushrooms sliced ; some spinach leaves strewn ; a bit of grated cheese scattered , and an egg cracked on top! And then the special ingredient – a shake of nutmeg! Aromatic and delicious! Popped in the oven for 10 minutes and finished in the grill to firm up the egg. Yummy scrumpy! Get those flavours mixing and get those senses stirring!
